About The Role
This role will be responsible for completing the daily processing of all import documentation, freight and any other related requirements.
Work Location : Tokyo
Reporting to : Supply Chain Manager
Key responsibilities
  • Overall coordination of all inbound freight shipments.
  • Liaise and communicate with production site to ensure timely despatch of orders and correct quantities
  • Managing / monitoring the timing of all import deliveries
  • Liaise and communicate with material call off and warehouse to ensure timely receipts of orders and correct quantities
  • Key Kerry contact with freight forwarder on all imported shipments
  • Execute and provide an adequate tracking model of all shipments
  • Manage and resolve any shipment receipt variances when comparing to the invoiced amount
  • Work closely with regulatory to ensure all import licences are in place before goods arrive to Japan
  • Processing all import documentation to the freight forwarder.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of all inbound documentation provided by the shipper to ensure a smooth clearance process. Liaise with supplier if documentation changes are needed before arrival
  • Ensure all inland costs are correctly assigned against the specific order before goods are receipted into SAP
  • Track and report on service provider’s performance with corrective action recommendations for improvement. Continuously monitor performance by reviewing delivery results in conformance to the schedules
  • Perform ad-hoc projects and other duties as and when required
Qualifications And Skills
  • Candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience within the Logistics or Import Logistics field
  • Knowledge of Quarantine & Customs process and regulations
  • Experience working in Food related industry, or within food related area of freight forwarding / shipping
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems is essential; SAP experience is a definite advantage
  • English - verbal and written communication competencies are essential
