EU Public Policy - Intern

Job Description
Our company is currently looking for an Intern within our EU Public Policy Team in Brussels, for a 6-month period. The role will be in support to members of the team working on the reform of the EU pharmaceutical legislation as well as additional tasks when required on other policy initiatives of interest to our company in particular on environmental sustainability and vaccines.
Main activities
You will work closely with the Public Policy team on various projects, including but not limited to internal coordination with Global and country colleagues on pharma policy files, participation in external meetings/events organized by EU institutions & trade associations and other stakeholders on environmental sustainability, tracking follow up actions in alignment with our company's policy goals, developing messaging and other policy materials to support advocacy strategy.
Detailed Job Duties Include

• Assist with outreach to EU institutions in the context of the reform of the EU pharma legislation, drafting of briefing documents and liaison with Brussels and country teams ;
• Conduct desk research on a variety of topics linked to policy initiatives of interest to our company ;
• Support organization of internal/external events ;
• Attend meetings of trade associations and other external partners and report back to Brussels team ;
• Coordinate with other functions (medical, communications, market access, ESG) and outside vendors as needed ;
• Draft policy materials for internal and external use.
  

Your profile

• Currently enrolled in a graduate academic programme in political science, business, international affairs, communications or related fields ;
• Internship experience(s) in EU affairs ;
• Ability to work independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment ;
• Strong organizational skills ;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills ;
• Self-organized and structured, with the ability to define your own tasks ;
• Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects ;
• Result oriented attitude and an eye for detail ;
• Digital savvy and creative mindset to find innovative solutions ;
• Out-of-the box thinking, ability to solve complex problems and eager to learn ;
• Strong team player and ability to work in cross-functional teams ;
• Excellent written, analytical and communication skills in English, French and any other EU languages.
