The Role
  • To create purchase orders for pharmaceutical stock, process goods received onto the stock control system, process goods which require to be returned to suppliers and liaise with suppliers.
  • To support the procurement process for new and specialised pharmaceuticals
  • To provide clerical and administrative support to pharmacy

What we'll need you to bring
  • Practical knowledge of office systems gained through SVQ111 or equivalent
  • Experience of working in an office procurement environment
  • Understanding of Standing Financial Instructions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
It would be great if you also have
  • Practical knowledge of office systems gained through SVQ III or equivalent.
  • To participate in public holiday working.
  • To be flexible and willing to contribute to the general working of the pharmacy department.
Contract type

Part Time
15 hours per week (over 2 days Monday and Tuesday)
Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.
Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in Pharmacy within University Hospital Hairmyres.
