You will join an interdisciplinary team of passionate scientists, engineers, clinicians and corporate profiles committed to solving some of the biggest DNA and RNA production challenges facing vaccines and therapeutics. Quantoom Biosciences has two facilities; the headquarters are based in Nivelles (Belgium), and the France Research Center focusing on offering an end-to-end DNA production platform based in Evry (France).

MISSION:

The Commercial Project Manager will join the PMO team, who is ensuring projects are delivered on time, in scope, on budget and with the required quality whilst considering the different internal and external constraints. In this young company, our team is building best practices and processes and creates a harmonized way of managing the different projects in the organization. As we currently have several new projects (internal or external) to deliver in relation with our internal R&D activities and commercial contracts, we want to grow our PM team capacity. Quantoom Biosciences has several new research & development projects ongoing as well as new equipment delivery projects for which the Project Management team is in the leading seat for supporting the organization meeting its goals. The Commercial Project Manager acts as integrator of product-specific transversal development activities and builds one integrated project plan covering all activities (internal and/or external). (S)he will focus on tactics and execution and will ensure objectives and scope of the projects are always aligned with the project execution and the company strategy.

As Commercial Project Manager and according to the projects that will be allocated, you will interact with internal but also many external stakeholders including customers to whom Quantoom Biosciences is delivering its revolutionary solution.

A Commercial Project Manager role is a challenging position as (s)he will facilitate the execution of the project(s) by leading the team towards the objectives. As Commercial Project Manager , you will be supported by the Operations department’s managers who have a hierarchical role in the organization.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Execution of project management activities, including

1. Contract management for external parties
2. Managing project scope
3. Managing project planning (resources and material)
4. Controlling time management and monitoring progress
5. Drafting and controlling project budget
6. Analyzing and managing project risks

• Governance & Reporting

1. Contribute to setting up an effective project governance
2. Managing reports and other necessary documentation
3. Ensuring internal and external stakeholders’ satisfaction
4. Leading project’s meetings

• Coaching, mentoring and knowledge management

1. Organizing and motivating a project team
2. Developing project management best practices
3. Managing integration of the team’s work to the strategic objectives of the company
4. Drafting and sharing lessons learned

PROFILE (QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE):

Quantoom Biosciences is looking for an analytical thinker with solid organizational skills and excellent problem-solving skills. A successful Quantoom Biosciences Commercial Project Manager can multi-task in a high volume, fast-paced work environment. (S)he is a team player with a high level of self-motivation and ability to set and meet goals.

In addition to these general skills and personality traits, Quantoom Biosciences is seeking candidates with the following skills:

• 5 years of experience in a Project Management role, or related function, within the Biotechnology or Pharmaceutical Industry or its providers. Previous experience in commercial projects is a plus.
• Experience of working with global, multi-cultural, diverse, cross-functional project teams, with demanding timelines and complex deliverables
• A Master’s degree in business, engineering or life sciences is highly preferred.
• Project Management Certification or Qualification is an asset (PMP, Prince 2, Agile …).
• Thorough familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, and project scheduling computer applications.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, trouble-shoot, and to meet short- and long-term deadlines.
• having a customer-centric approach when managing client projects
• Demonstrated experience in budget and financial management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent critical and creative thinking.
• Ability to build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on conflicts and problem-solving.
• Providing all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible and leading by example
• Open to work and deliver results in a young and agile company and contribute to developing streamlined processes.
• Fluent in English. Fluency in French is a big plus.
