Operations Manager

A small biotherapeutics company in southern California is in immediate need of a Research Operations Consultant for a 6-12 month project that can be completed while working remotely, but the client may request occasional visits to their facility in Thousand Oaks, CA (one short trip/month, possibly less frequent). This is a full-time consulting position, 40 hours/week.

The Research Operations Consultant will be focused on developing the company's SOPs, processes, and study report templates among other relevant documents for the execution of preclinical research. The consultant will also be focused on lab management, sample management, and vendor management.

Currently, the client does not have an established Research Operations department.

Top Requirements:

• BS degree minimum
• 10+ years of Biotechnology industry experience
• 5+ years of Research Operations leadership experience
• Research Ops experience working with small or startup Biotechnology or Pharmaceutical companies
• Experience in execution of preclinical research
• Strong expertise in sample and vendor management
• Ability to independently develop company SOPs and study report templates for Research Operations
• Experience supporting gene therapy companies is preferred, but not required
