We’re pleased to present the opportunity to join Urenco as a Document Controller. Based at our Capenhurst site location you’ll manage the documents and records generated by the UCP Engineering Team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Nuclear Site Licence conditions

What will your day look like?
  • Maintain the Engineering Document and Records retention schedule. Includes the Engineering Management System and Design Basis documentation
  • Support the various engineering teams to manage and control the documentation that is generated through the life cycle of a project or plant modification.
  • Control the addition and removal of quality records. Assist with record maintenance utilising Asset Operations and AutoCAD.
  • Point of contact for the receipt and issue of documentation to/from third party organisations.
  • Supports the UCP audit programme to achieve and maintain ISO standards accreditation.
  • Support Group IT with system maintenance, upgrade or replacement. Provide training for UCP users as required.
What do you need to be great at this role?
  • 5 GCSEs including Maths and English or relevant experience
  • Well developed planning, organising and communications skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to provide a quality customer service
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • AutoCAD knowledge to support record configuration control
  • At least 5 years’ experience of document control in a highly regulated/controlled environment
  • Suitable experience might include working on major engineering projects or supporting pharmaceutical, chemical or nuclear sites
  • Experienced with the use and configuration of computer-based document management systems
  • Broad knowledge of security procedures, especially those in relation to documentation classification and storage
