About The Business
With a history of over 160 years in the Australian and New Zealand sugar industries, Wilmar Sugar Australia operations span the value chain from sugar cane growing, sugar manufacturing, refining, exporting, and marketing, to the production of renewable electricity, ethanol and sustainable agricultural products.
To be more specific, Wilmar manufactures over half of Australia's raw sugar, and each year exports enough electricity to power more than 68,000 Australian homes for 12 months. As well as supplying ethanol (ethyl alcohol) to the growing fuel market in Australia, Wilmar also supplies a significant market share to various industries including the pharmaceutical, printing, cleaning, winery, aerosol, animal health and food and beverage industries.

It is essential that the person we are seeking has the relevant competencies, experience, and qualifications - Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication. Our ideal candidates will have a proven high standard of performance, self-motivation, attendance, and punctuality, in return, you'll work with a great team fabricating equipment which we install in-house across the region at both Victoria and Macknade Mill.

- Carrying out fabrication of structural items and pipe work
- Undertaking repairs and modifications to chutes, ducting, structural items and general welding
- Active involvement and coaching of Apprentices, ensuring sign off is achieved
- Ability to readily understand, interpret and work from detailed construction and fabrication drawings
- Good organisational, planning and decision-making skills
The following qualifications are required in some of our trade roles however, we are prepared to provide training to people who possess the right aptitude and team fit:
- Forklift High Risk Work Licence (HRWL)
- Basic Riggers HRWL
- Dogger HRWL
- Elevated Work Platform HRWL
